Removing from Linux

To remove SSH Tectia Server from a Linux environment, perform the following tasks:

  1. Stop the Secure Shell daemon using the following command:
    # /etc/init.d/sshd2 stop

  2. Run the following command with root privileges:
    # rpm -e ssh

If you get an error while removing the package, for example "execution of ssh script failed, exit status 1", you can remove the package by specifying the --noscripts command-line option
    # rpm -e --noscripts ssh

Note: The uninstallation procedure removes only the files that were created when installing the software. Any configuration files have to be removed manually.
