Using Third-Party Software Deployment Tools

To prepare for remote installation using a third-party software deployment tool, create a new icb.dat file as described in Creating ICBs and download it to your local machine.

Using your software deployment tool, create a script that runs the installer. You can use the ICBDIR syntax on the command line for installing the ICB (as described for Windows in Command-Line Options), or you can manually copy the ICB to the installation directory after the installation is complete.

Test the created script and make sure that the tested systems connect to the Management Server.

On Windows, you may additionally want to configure your deployment scenario to log users off, so that the user monitor component is running when they log back on.
