Configuring the Syslog Facility for Management Agent (Unix)

The Management Agent collects system log messages about its own operations and by default it sends them to the system log facility daemon of the operating system. You can configure another syslog facility, if necessary.

To change the syslog facility, open the following view in the administration GUI configuration: Configurations → Edit Configurations → Management Agent.

Use setting SyslogFacility to select a suitable syslog facility for the Management Agent. The drop-down list includes these options: auth, security, daemon, user, mail, local0, local1, local2, local3, local4, local5, local6 and local7.
