Create an Administrator Role for File Transfer Auditors

When Tectia Manager is used to monitor and audit secure file transfers, it is advisable to define a special administrator role for an Auditor, whose rights will be limited to auditing file transfer operations by generating and viewing reports.

Tectia Manager uses a two-stage process for managing Tectia administrators. Permissions to perform actions are given to admin groups and an administrator may be a member of any number of groups. To have any rights at all, an administrator must be a member of at least one admin group.

To add administrators to the system:

  1. Create the necessary admin accounts (Creating Admin Account for the Auditor).

  2. Create the admin groups and select the admin accounts that you want as members of the groups (Creating Admin Group for the Auditor).
