Upgrading SSH Tectia Manager with SSH Tectia MFT Auditor Functionality

SSH Tectia MFT Auditor can be installed on the same server where SSH Tectia Manager is running. Together SSH Tectia Manager and SSH Tectia MFT Auditor form a powerful and versatile tool for both managing SSH Tectia security software on the hosts and for auditing the secure file transfers made by the hosts.

Starting with version 6.1, SSH Tectia Manager can be upgraded to provide also the SSH Tectia MFT Auditor features simply by importing the SSH Tectia MFT Auditor license:

  1. In the SSH Tectia Manager administration interface, select Software → Licenses → Import license.

  2. Import the SSH Tectia MFT Auditor license file from the installation file directory. To run both SSH Tectia MFT Auditor and SSH Tectia Manager on the same host, you need a licence for each.

  3. Restart the Management Server to activate the new SSH Tectia MFT Auditor features. Enter command:

    # /etc/init.d/ssh-mgmt-server restart

Upgrading (or removing) the Management Server leaves the existing configurations intact. The database contents and tables are updated automatically.
