Supported Secure Shell servers can be stopped and started remotely from the administration interface. On the Host view page of a host, click the Secure Shell software tab. Details on the Secure Shell software on the host are shown.
On this page, three control buttons are available. The buttons have the following effects:
Starts the Secure Shell server service on the host (
ssh2master on Windows). If the host already has a Secure
Shell server running, the operation does nothing.
Restarts the Secure Shell server service on the host. On Windows, all possible running Secure Shell server instances are stopped, and after that a new server instance is started.
If the host did not have any Secure Shell servers running, this works like the Start Server operation.
Stops the Secure Shell server listening to port 22 on the host. This does not affect the existing connections.
