SSH Communications Security Enhances Presence in z/OS Space in North America and Europe

Wellesley, MA & Helsinki, FI. - SSH Communications Security, known the world over as the inventors of the SSH protocol, has ramped up its channel operations in the secure file transfer mainframe space. It has signed up four new z/OS specialized partners in North America and Europe.

“The mainframe space is a very specialized area and for this it was determined that partners who are 100% dedicated to this space would be the most effective way to build out our position. Our offering and ability to secure FTP transparently on the mainframe remains unique and the take up by the partners has been encouraging,” said Matthew McKenna, Head of Sales and Marketing.

“With the addition of Infosec in the US, JVL in France, Bsecure in Spain, and Wildata in the UK, we have added four new partners in addition to our key North American partner SDS who are knowledgeable in this space and have an excellent customer track record,” added David Rivard System z Channel and Product Manager.

Over 70% of enterprises today continue to utilize unsecure FTP as their primary file transfer means. As mainframes continue to play a major role in this space, SSH’s z/OS solution provides enterprises an affordable turnkey solution to convert their FTP to SFTP without changes to their existing application environment.
