SSH Communications Security to Launch Global Licensing Assessment Program Together with Deloitte

Wellesley, MA & Helsinki, FI – SSH Communications Security, known the world over as the inventors of the SSH protocol, has signed a cooperation agreement with Deloitte Finland to establish a global licensing assessment program. The program was kicked off in February 2012 and establishes a permanent program.

“We are delighted to have Deloitte, as a well-merited and very experienced business consultancy, guide us through the process of engaging our customer base in our new global licensing assessment program. Over the past 15 years we have delivered Tectia/SSH software to over 3000 companies touching upon almost every country in the world. It is an essential part of our business going forward to have not only closer relationships with our customers, but also to establish a clearer understanding of exactly what Tectia/SSH software is in use within the organizations, where, and most importantly how it is used and what we can do to help our customers drive more value out of their investment.” states Matthew McKenna, Head of Sales and Marketing, SSH Communications Security.

“We are already assisting several leading software companies with their similar global license assessment programs. Our experience from these programs is that they bring additional value to both the software vendors and their customers. Through our worldwide network, we help software vendors to improve business processes, address risks and strengthen relationships and at the same time try to identify software asset management improvement opportunities for the customers. We are very pleased to deepen our relationship with Tectia through this co-operation”, adds Lasse Ingström, Competence Leader of Enterprise Risk Services, Deloitte Finland.

Selected Tectia/SSH customers will be informed in writing of this license assessment program in the coming weeks outlining the objectives and approach. From there, the first assessments will begin in March and run throughout the year.
