SSH Communications Security Provides Major Financial Services Customer with Data-in-Transit Security Solution

HELSINKI , Finland and WELLESLEY, Mass. – SSH Communications Security, known the world over as the inventor of the SSH protocol, today announced that a U.S.-based global top ten financial institution has deployed SSH’s gold-standard encrypted data-in-transit solutions across its entire Unix and Windows platform.

“We are delighted by this vote of confidence from our customer,” said Matthew McKenna, SSH global head of sales and marketing. “With this commitment, it will leverage the full benefits of our Information Assurance Platform, including compliance with PCI, SOX and other mandates, lowered cost and improved governance.”

Today’s announcement follows a series of positive developments for the company. Earlier in 2012, SSH Communications Security released the Universal SSH Key Manager and CryptoAuditor solutions, the first two modules of the groundbreaking SSH Information Assurance Platform. SSH’s platform-based approach to centralized access control, deployment, configuration and privileged access monitoring/DLP provides customers with total visibility and control of the data-in-transit environment.

“Our main product development drivers are reducing operational costs and risk while ensuring regulatory compliance,” said Kalle Jääskeläinen, SSH head of research and development. “To ensure we are delivering exactly what our customers require, we have worked side by side with IT teams at major banks, retail organizations and other sectors to confirm that our platform fulfills their business needs.”
