SSH Communications Security Joins Intel Security Innovation Alliance

CryptoAuditor Now Certified for Encrypted Channel Monitoring in McAfee Web Gateway

HELSINKI and WALTHAM, Mass., 17 Sept., 2015 – SSH Communications Security today announced that it has joined the Intel Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) partner program. Customers running CryptoAuditor with McAfee Web Gateway gain a number of business benefits, including:

  • The capability to control, monitor and audit encrypted sessions , as well as file transfers, delivered by CryptoAuditor’s network-based, inline virtual appliance.
  • Speedy implementation and zero impact on end-user experience or workflows since CryptoAuditor requires no agents to be deployed or an access portal to go through.
  • The ability to apply data loss prevention and anti-malware functionality to encrypted sessions running through Secure Shell, SFTP, RDP and HTTPS.

Matthew McKenna, chief commercial officer, SSH Communications Security, said: “As network environments become complex, so do threats to the network. Now that CryptoAuditor is certified to be compatible with McAfee Web Gateway, organizations can place additional safeguards around encrypted content traveling between both interactive and machine-to-machine connections. With this configuration, those responsible for PCI-based environments can stop traffic that admins shouldn’t have access to and stop infected file transfers abusing encrypted channels, delivering unprecedented security and visibility into encrypted channels used in enterprise network environments.”

D.J. Long, Head of Security Innovation Alliance at Intel Security, said:

“Our customers are seeking ways to determine whether content entering their networks has malicious intent or not, and by being able to monitor SSH encrypted communications, customers can gain visibility into hidden threats going inbound or outbound from the network. We are pleased to add CryptoAuditor to the Intel Security Innovation Alliance.”
