Registry Settings for Certifier Components

The Windows registry contains four startup parameters for the Certifier Server and Certifier Engine in the form of registry keys. The registry keys are created during the installation as subkeys of the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\<service name>\parameters (where service name is either SSH Tectia Certifier Engine or SSH Tectia Certifier Server).

The names of the registry keys and their meanings are as follows:

  • config_file_name : The name of the actual configuration file for the service. The file name must consist of absolute/full path.
  • debug_string : The debug string specifies the debug level of the service. The debug level is used to control the output of the service. Default value is empty debug string.
  • log_file_name : The name of the log/debug file, where to the service writes the log information. The file name must consist of absolute/full path.
  • use_event_log : This setting controls the output of log information. If set to 1, Certifier events are written to the Windows event log. The default value is 0.
