Hardware Tokens (legacy)

The Hardware Tokens option can be used to connect nCipher hardware security modules (HSM) to the Certifier Engine. The modules are added using an nCipher native interface. The option is shown on the menu only if the nCipher native support has been enabled in the engine.conf file. The following lines need to be included:

  (provider (type "nfast")
            (info ""))

The native interface is supported to enable interoperability with existing Certifier-nCipher installations. In new installations, we recommend using the PKCS #11 method for adding modules. See Section Adding PKCS-11 Modules to the Certifier Engine for more information.
