SSH Tectia

SSH Tectia Server Status Monitoring and Log Gathering

SSH Tectia Manager displays the status of each SSH Tectia Server in the host group view, enabling administrators to quickly respond to failures in service availability.

SSH Tectia Server outputs log entries (for example, user logins, logouts, failed login attempts) to local syslog. The Management Agent periodically gathers these logs and pushes them to the Management Server through the management connection. See Figure 5.7.

The Management Server stores the SSH Tectia Server logs into the database, and the logged information can be viewed in the administration interface. The logs can be sorted and searched according to date and time, host name, and log message. See Figure 5.8.
