System Requirements of Management Server

This section gives the minimum system configuration required to run the Management Server.

Operating System

The Management Server can be installed on the following operating systems:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, 5.1, 5.2 and 6.1 (x86)

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, 5.1, 5.2, 5.4 and 6.1 (x86-64)

  • Oracle Solaris 9 and 10 (SPARC)

For Linux, the Management Server is provided as one installation package, named ssh-mgmt-server-<version>-linux-x86.rpm, that can be used on both the 32-bit and 64-bit Linux platforms.

The glibc-2.1 library file (or later version) is required on the Linux platforms, but it is by default available on the supported platforms.

Hardware

The following minimum hardware is required for Tectia Manager Management Server:

  • 512 MB RAM (recommended minimum)

  • 1 GB free disk space, up to 30 GB recommended for log storage

  • CD-ROM drive

  • TCP/IP connection and a permanent DNS name

Software

The following browsers are supported for connecting to the Tectia Manager administration interface:

  • Firefox 2.0 or later

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or later
