If the administration interface does not provide tools for creating the configuration you would like to use, it is possible to use custom XML configurations for the Tectia software.
For Tectia Client, ConnectSecure, and Server, an advanced XML configuration can be created in or uploaded to the Client XML configuration folder. The XML configurations are displayed alongside regular configurations and can be assigned and deployed to hosts normally.
For Tectia Server, advanced XML configurations can be created in or uploaded to the Server XML configuration folder. The XML configurations are displayed alongside regular configurations and can be assigned and deployed to hosts normally.
Be careful in using advanced XML configurations. The XML configuration is deployed to the hosts as is, and typing errors or a configuration that is incompatible with the Tectia software version installed on the target host may lead to problems with the Tectia software. For example, if the XML does not match the DTD, Tectia Client and ConnectSecure will ignore the configuration. If the re-configuration of the service fails upon configuration update, the Management Agent reverts back to the previous version of the configuration.
