The Management Agent is available for AIX on the POWER architecture.
To install the agent manually on AIX, follow these instructions:
Copy the ssh-mgmt-agent installation package to the host to be managed by SSH Tectia Manager.
Give the following commands as root:
# uncompress ssh-mgmt-agent-<v>-<aixv>.bff.Z
# installp -ac -X -d ssh-mgmt-agent-<v>-<aixv>.bff all
In the command, <v> is the current release version of the Management Agent (for example 220.127.116.11) and <aixv> is the version of the AIX operating system (for example aix-5.3-6.1-powerpc).
The Management Agent installation will create the configuration directory /etc/opt/ssh-mgmt/agent and the Management Agent will start automatically after the installation has been finished.
Download a valid ICB from the Management Server administration interface (see Downloading ICBs), and copy it to the default location on the target host (using, for example, scp, sftp, or web browser):
Restart the Management Agent by issuing the following commands:
# /etc/opt/ssh-mgmt/agent/ssh-mgmt-agent restart
