SSH Secure Shell for Workstations (SSH Secure Shell) version 3.1.1 and later require a license file to function in commercial mode (without the license file, the software will function in non-commercial mode, with PKI functionality disabled).

In commercial distributions, the license file is already included in the installation executable, and no separate license installation is necessary.

However, in some cases, such as when installing SSH Secure Shell for Workstations in a corporate environment, the license file may be available separately and requires that it is imported in the SSH Secure Shell for Workstations. For more information, see Section Import License File.
