New Features

This version of SSH Secure Shell for Workstations contains the following new features and enhancements.

  • ASN1 buffer overflow fix

A vulnerability in the SSH ASN.1 library handling the decoding of BER/DER encoded data packets has been fixed.

  • New configuration file options

Now it is possible to define the hash format used and to disable fallback compatibility code by utilizing new configuration file options, Cert.RSA.Compat.HashScheme (with valid values of md5 and sha1) and DisableVersionFallback, respectively. These settings have to be changed by editing the global.dat configuration file - they cannot be altered by using the GUI.

  • Various bug fixes

This version also contains fixes for various minor bugs found in previous releases.
