Import License File
SSH Secure Shell for Workstations (SSH Secure Shell) 3.1.1 and later require a license file to
function in commercial mode (without the license file, the software will
function in non-commercial mode, with PKI functionality disabled).
With the Import License File option you can register your copy of
SSH Secure Shell for Workstations.
Note: In commercial distributions, the license file is already included
in the installation executable, and no separate license installation is
necessary. However, in some cases, such as when installing SSH Secure Shell for Workstations in a
corporate environment, the license file may be available separately and requires
that it is imported in the client.
If you have received a separate license file (which is called
license.dat by default), select the Import License
File option from the Help menu. You will be presented with a
dialog requesting a file name. Locate the license file and click the
OK button. You should see a dialog telling that the license
file was successfully imported and copied to the installation
directory. Click the OK button to continue. Your copy of
SSH Secure Shell for Workstations is now registered.
