SSH Tectia Manager provides a built-in certification authority dedicated to issuing host certificates for the SSH Tectia Server hosts. Once the Internal CA has been taken into active use, as described in Chapter 8, the Management Server becomes functionality-critical to the SSH Tectia environment, as it publishes certificate revocation lists that SSH Tectia Client and SSH Tectia ConnectSecure require to authenticate SSH Tectia Servers.

Any downtime of the Management Server should be minimized, and the scheduled maintenance of the Management Server host carefully planned.
