System Requirements of the Management Server

This section gives the minimum system configuration required to run the Management Server.

Operating System

The following operating systems are supported as the Management Server platforms:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3, 4, and 5.1 ES/AS (x86)
Sun Solaris 8, 9, and 10 (SPARC)

Hardware

The following minimum hardware is required for the Management Server:

512 MB RAM (recommended minimum)
1 GB free disk space, up to 30 GB recommended for log storage
CD-ROM drive
TCP/IP connection and a permanent DNS name

Software

One of the following browsers is required for connecting to the SSH Tectia Manager administration interface:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
Mozilla 1.7 or later
Netscape 8.0 or later
Firefox 1.0 or later
