Course Overview

This course provides instructions and hands-on exercises for planning, deploying, and operating SSH Tectia Client and Server products in Windows and Unix/Linux environments. Optionally, SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS and SSH Tectia ConnectSecure specific modules can be included into the course content.  SSH Tectia Manager is not included in the scope of the course.

• The SSH Tectia Basic course provides instructions and hands-on exercises for planning, deploying, and operating SSH Tectia Client and Server products in Windows and Unix/Linux environments. SSH Tectia Manager is not included in the scope of the course.
• The SSH Tectia ConnectSecure course covers the main parts of the SSH
  Tectia Basic course. This course focuses specifically on SSH Tectia
  ConnectSecure and its new features FTP-SFTP conversion and transparent
  tunneling.
• The SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS course introduces how to use SSH Tectia for securing application connections and file transfers in IBM z/OS mainframe environments. Trainees will learn how to utilize SSH Tectia for securing cross-platform data communications in heterogeneous networks consisting of Windows, Unix, Linux, and IBM mainframes. 
  

 

Target Audience

The target audience of the course consists of system administrators and IT support personnel, who need to configure, install, and maintain SSH Tectia products.

Prerequisites

The participants should already have general understanding of TCP/IP networks and working knowledge of their planned target platform (i.e. Windows, Unix/Linux, or z/OS). It is also beneficial to have basic network security knowledge.
