SSH Tectia Software Deployment

SSH Tectia Manager can perform mass installations, upgrades, and uninstallations of SSH Tectia Client/Server software over a secure management connection, to a heterogeneous environment of mixed platforms. SSH Tectia Manager checks the operating system version on each host, and automatically selects the proper installation packages to deploy. The Management Agents provide real-time detailed feedback on the progress of each installation. Deployment jobs for hosts that are off-line (e.g. laptops out of the office) remain pending, and are activated once the managed host is connected again.

Configuration Management

SSH Tectia Manager provides an easy to use configuration management GUI. Administrators are able to effectively create and maintain sets of SSH Tectia Client/Server configurations, and to assign and deploy them to the managed hosts. Risk of configuration errors and service downtime is minimized with automated configuration file generation and roll-back upon errors at deployment time. Configuration deployments can be made simultaneously to the entire environment of multiple operating system platforms, in a single management operation. The Maker/Checker policy can be observed by granular administrator right segregation, according to administrator roles and host groups.

Log Gathering and Environment Monitoring

SSH Tectia Manager can gather and centrally archive SSH Tectia client/server logs for troubleshooting and auditing purposes. Local File Change Detection enables administrators to react to changes in SSH Tectia configurations by local administrators to enforce adherence to the security policy. Information on the availability of SSH Tectia Server services, installed SSH Tectia and other secure shell software versions, SSH Tectia Administrator audit logs, and well as other host and management information is presented in host views and detailed status reports. This allows up-to-date and comprehensive environment reports to be compiled (e.g. for auditors).

Application Tunneling Management

SSH Tectia Manager can be used to centrally deploy and configure the SSH Tectia application tunneling solution. SSH Tectia Client for Windows, the transparent workstation tunneling component, is configured from SSH Tectia Manager without any user interaction on the workstation. Application tunnels are set up according to applications, ports, and destination hosts. The user continues to use his applications as before, with minimal or no change to the user experience.

Server Host Authentication Management

The built-in Certification Authority of SSH Tectia Manager can be easily set up to provide strong and scalable server host authentication. It provides a robust Public Key Infrastructure, which has been streamlined for SSH Tectia environment management and low-cost deployment. Full certificate lifecycle management enables administrators to enroll, renew, and revoke certificates throughout large environments. Certificate Revocation List publishing ensures timely key revocation when necessary.
