SSH Sentinel Receives VPNC Interoperability Certification
Certification Ensures Customers with Cross-Vendor Interoperability
SSH Communications Security (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading developer of managed security middleware, today announced that its SSH SentinelSSH Sentinel is a multiplatform IPSec client software for end users and VPN OEMs that fully implements the IPSec standard, NAT-T drafts and supports several authentication mechanisms. SSH Sentinel provides an effective way to secure remote access into the corporate network.
"SSH continues to demonstrate its leadership and commitment to benefiting the industry as a whole by developing standards-based, interoperable security solutions," said Paul Hoffman, director of VPNC.
To receive interoperability certification, the VPNC utilizes a set of scenarios to test the products gateway-to-gateway communications. Tested as a remote-access client, SSH Sentinel was interoperable with all products in the test set, including industry-leading products from Checkpoint, Cisco, CyberGuard, NetGEAR, and Netscreen.
"The VPNC certification further demonstrates SSH's commitment to developing products that not only solve customers' most pressing security problems but also interoperate seamlessly with a wide range of enterprise applications," said George Adams, president and CEO of SSH Communications Security, Inc. "With this important industry certification, we are providing our customers with a significant time-to-market advantage by eliminating the need to conduct interoperability testing with many other IPSec system components."
