* Product News (3) - SSH Tectia Manager 2.1 Released
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SSH Tectia Manager 2.1 was released on November 28, 2005.
The new key features include:
* Tips & Tricks: Setting up CryptiCore encryption and data authentication for higher performance
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Using CryptiCore encryption and data authentication algorithms increases file transfer and tunneling performance. The CryptiCore algorithm is currently supported on Intel x86-based processor architectures with SSH Tectia Server (F) and Server (T).
To enable the use of the CryptiCore cipher and MAC algorithm, they need to be allowed in both the server and client configurations. During the connection and session establishment, the server and client negotiate the cipher and MAC algorithm for session encryption. To ensure the CryptiCore will be selected during the negotiation, it needs to be the first cipher and MAC in the lists.
