Year 2004 has been a great year for us, releasing new versions of the original Secure-Shell-based solutions, announcing major partnerships and product certifications including the industry's broadest FIPS 140-2 validation. The upcoming year 2005 will be an even more interesting year for our customers with major new product announcements, enhanced platform support, and increased encryption performance. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the year 2004, and wish you a great holiday season!"

* Product News - New versions of SSH Tectia solution released

The new SSH Tectia Server, Client, and Connector 4.2 and SSH Tectia Manager 1.3 have now been released. If you would like to try the evaluation versions, please visit http://www.ssh.com/support/downloads/.
What's new in the SSH Tectia client/server solution 4.2:
From version 4.2 onwards, SSH Tectia Server has been divided into two products: SSH Tectia Server (A) and SSH Tectia Server (T). With the new release the old SSH Tectia Server (Unix) and (Windows) products are now
combined and the product is called SSH Tectia Server 4.2 (A).
SSH Tectia Server (T) is a new product which combines the SSH Tectia Server (A) functionality with transparent application tunneling through SSH Tectia Connector, client software that is completely transparent to the user and enables secure application connectivity without any user intervention.
Other New Features
Additional new features that have been incorporated into this new version include:
TLS client authentication for administrators, enabling X.509 certificate authentication for higher administrator security
Administrator password hash import from an external LDAP directory, removing the need to manage administrator passwords in multiple locations
Management support for the new features of the SSH Tectia client/server solution 4.2
Configuration support for SSH Tectia Server subconfigurations
Managed host platform support expansion:
-SUSE LINUX Professional 9.1, Enterprise Server 9
-HP-UX 11i v1.6, 11i v2 (IA64)

What's new in the SSH Tectia client/server solution 4.2:

- Windows domain authentication in heterogeneous environments - this key new capability eliminates the need for separate authentication in environments with multiple operating systems, enhancing end-user
- Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) support - this popular protocol used for authentication, authorization, and accounting in many large enterprises via dial-up, VPN, and wireless network access is now
supported under SSH Tectia. - Nested tunnel support - this key new feature enables greater flexibility in providing end-to-end security for remote users accessing multiple complex applications.
