SSH Tectia was launched in the Fall of 2003 as a managed security middleware solution that combines the award-winning SSH technology along with a robust management system for a scalable, transparent and cost-effective means of managing large scale SSH Tectia and Secure Shell environments.
SSH Tectia Manager 1.1 is now available for evaluation and purchase.
This version expands our product and platform support to the entire SSH Tectia client/server solution. New features in this version are:
Please contact your local sales representative or contact us at http://www.ssh.com/company/sales/inquiry.mpl.

SSH Tectia client/server solution 4.0.4 has been released on February 12. If you have a valid 4.0.3 license file, you can get updates for SSH Tectia Client and SSH Tectia Server at the "Updates and Packages" section at http://www.ssh.com/support/downloads/.
If you do not have a valid 4.0.3 license file, and you are *not* a customer with a maintenance agreement, please purchase the new product version from SSH Online Store at http://www.ssh.com/company/sales/.
If you have the SSH Tectia Connector 4.0.3 license and would like to upgrade to version 4.0.4, please contact SSH Support at http://www.ssh.com/support/products/connector/.
Main improvements in the version 4.0.4 are:
* Howto's and Tips: " Automated Secure File Transfer"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SSH Tectia Client can be easily configured to transfer your important files to a safe place automatically for example every night. Automatic secure file transfers are useful for example when making backups or synchronizing your laptop and desktop.
To automate file transfers, the first thing you need to set up is a non-interactive authentication method between SSH Tectia Client and SSH Tectia Server. One possible authentication method for non-interactive login is public-key authentication without the passphrase for the private key. This is configured exactly as regular, passphrase-protected public key authentication, except that when generating the user key pair, you should press "Enter" when prompted for the passphrase for the private key. The knowledge base article #1858 "Authentication Methods for Scripts / Batch Processes" at http://support.ssh.com contains more information on possible authentication methods when using SSH Tectia Client with scripts or batch processes.
When you have set up the non-interactive login and have tested that it works with command-line clients, configure SFTP2 in batch mode to automate the transfer. To use SFTP2 in batch mode, you need to create a file that contains the SFTP2 commands that automate the file transfer. Next, write a script or .bat file that launches SFTP2 and tells SFTP2 to use the file you created for SFTP commands. You can now use any scheduler software to launch this script at scheduled times. The knowledge base articles #1861 "Example Windows to Windows/UNIX batch file" and #1860 "Example UNIX to UNIX Scripts" have examples on how to use SFTP2 in batch mode and automate file transfers. Those are just simple examples but they can be used as a basis for more complex automated secure file transfer scripts.
