SSH to Address Operational Risk Management Issues at SecureIT 2006 Conference
SSH to Analyze Strategies for Meeting Burgeoning End-to-End Enterprise Data Security Requirements
SSH Communications Security Corp. (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading provider of enterprise security solutions and end-to-end communications security, and the original developer of the Secure Shell protocol, today announced that Byron Rashed, Senior Marketing Manager, will be speaking at SecureIT 2006, the fourth annual Information and Network Security Conference. Addressing strategic issues impacting operational risk management, Rashed's presentation will take place Thursday, March 23, at 3:30 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.Rashed will discuss the need to provide effective end-to-end enterprise security measures in a global environment where the reliance on mission-critical applications is paramount. As valuable corporate data is increasingly centralized, the need to secure this data from both external and internal breaches is essential. The problem is that managing insider risk involves far more than fortifying a network and managing electronic access to sensitive information. Information security needs to be understood as part of the wider strategic concept of operational risk management that covers such areas as human resources processes, physical security practices and general security policies.
Unfortunately, for many large organizations, the heterogeneous nature of their IT environments makes applying traditional communications security complex, expensive and often ineffective. Rashed will discuss how end-to-end communications security solutions, operating in between the IT infrastructure and corporate applications, are seamlessly providing large enterprises with business application protection and secure remote administration combined with strong two-factor authentication.
