SSH Announces Support for HP Integrity Itanium-based Servers
SSH Communications Security (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading developer of managed security middleware, today announced that its SSH Tectia™ client/server solution 4.1 for integrated, multi-platform secure communications supports Hewlett-Packard Integrity servers running HP-UX on the Intel Itanium processor.
SSH also announced today that SSH Tectia has received Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 certification for use on the HP-Uxi and PA-RISC and Itanium platforms, meeting current requirements for HP Federal customers. Authentication techniques that are FIPS 140-2 approved are certified for protecting Federal Government unclassified information.
This major new capability demonstrates SSH's commitment to providing world-leading network security solutions for US Government organizations and their suppliers. SSH's government, as well as enterprise, customers can now implement secure end-to-end connectivity to HP-UX Itanium servers with FIPS 140-2 certified encryption, data integrity and strong authentication. The SSH Tectia client/server solution, based on SSH's award-winning Secure Shell, protects government and enterprise networks against internal and external security threats by providing secure remote administration, secure file transfers and transparent application tunneling services across the IT environment. In addition, SSH Tectia's management capabilities allow for easy scalability and centralized policy deployment of heterogeneous Secure Shell IT environments.
