A total of 2,250 SSH shares were subscribed for using class D
option certificates according to the 1999 option program. The
subscription period for shares with class D option certificates
started November 1, 2001. In addition, a total of 2,500 SSH shares
were subscribed for using class E option certificates according to
the 1999 option program. The subscription period for shares with
class E option certificates started May 1, 2002. The issue of the
I/1999 Stock Option Program was approved by the General Meeting of
August 5, 1999.

In addition, a total of 19,166 SSH shares were subscribed for
using class A option certificates according to the 2003 option
program. The subscription period for shares with class A option
certificates started May 1, 2004. The issue of the I/2003 Stock
Option Program was approved by the General Meeting of April 29,
2003.

The corresponding increase in the share capital, in total EUR
717,48 was registered in the Finnish Trade Register on August 23,
2004. As a result of the increase, the share capital of the
company is EUR 842,691,78 and the total number of shares is
28,089,726.

The holders of the new shares are entitled to all shareholders’
rights from the registration date August 23, 2004. The new shares
will be listed on the main list of Helsinki Exchanges together
with the other shares as of August 24, 2004.
