SSH and HP to Speak on Securing End-to-End Networking Infrastructure at COMSEC 2004
With security investments traditionally made to protect companies from external threats, most of the application traffic inside the corporate network is left unprotected. According to Gartner, more than 70 percent of unauthorized access to information systems is committed by employees, as are more than 95 percent of intrusions that result in significant financial losses. Rashed and Smith will highlight the importance of internal security and the SSH Tectia/HP Itanium Platform solution. SSH will also be exhibiting at the show on Oct. 14 from 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Constellation Room.
Rashed has 20 years of industry experience leading global marketing programs for a variety of companies. As senior marketing manager for SSH Communications Security, Inc. of Los Altos, Calif., he is responsible for overseeing U.S. marketing operations and strategies. Prior to SSH, he led the marketing communications staff at VPNet Technologies, where he established corporate strategies for company positioning. Prior to VPNet, Rashed managed the marketing department at EPICO, where he initiated new technology programs for CRM and e-commerce using ASPs. Rashed earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.
