SSH to Speak on Securing the Wireless Internet at the 2004 Wireless & Mobile WorldExpo
Rashed will talk on the "Trials and Tribulations of Securing the Wireless Internet," including the latest trends and technologies. According to a recent study by Frost & Sullivan, Bluetooth is expected to generate worldwide revenue of $333 billion by 2006 - up from just under billion in 2001. However, this and other wireless technologies such as 2G, 3G and WAP, have yet to enjoy widespread adoption due to interoperability, scalability and performance issues. This presentation will address the development needed for these technologies to reach their full potential.
Rashed has 20 years of industry experience leading global marketing programs for a variety of companies. As senior marketing manager for SSH Communications Security, Inc. of Palo Alto, Calif., he is responsible for overseeing U.S. marketing operations, strategies and communications. Prior to SSH, he led the marketing communications staff at VPNet Technologies, where he established corporate strategies for company positioning. Prior to VPNet, Rashed managed the marketing department at EPICO, where he initiated new technology programs for CRM and e-commerce using ASPs. Rashed earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.
