SSH To Present On Wireless Security Developments At Annual Internet Security Conference In New York
SSH Communications Security (HEX:SSH1V) today announced that SSH Senior Marketing Communications Manager Byron Rashed has been selected to speak at the 6th Annual New York State Cyber Security Conference in Albany, NY. Rashed's presentation, "Trials and Tribulations of Securing the Wireless Internet," will be held on April 24 at 2:30 p.m. at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center.
While wireless LAN use is growing dramatically, few understand the real security issues users and IT departments face with this exciting new technology. Rashed will address the latest trends and technologies including 3G and WLAN. Truly pervasive adoption from these technologies in the U.S. will require security, interoperability and scalability. The presentation will address the security development needed for these technologies to reach their full potential.
Rashed has 20 years of industry experience leading global marketing programs for a variety of companies. As senior marketing communications manager for SSH, he is responsible for overseeing U.S. marketing operations, strategies and communications. Prior to SSH, he led the marketing communications staff at VPNet Technologies, where he established corporate strategies for company positioning. Prior to VPNet, Rashed managed the marketing department at EPICO, where he initiated new technology programs for CRM and e-commerce using ASPs. He holds a bachelo's degree in industrial engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.
