SSH Communications Security (HEX: SSH1V), a world-leading developer of Internet security solutions, today announced the appointment of Mr. Arto Vainio as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Vainio succeeds the founder and current CEO Tatu Ylonen who will resume his position to be in charge of SSH's technology strategy and its R&D implementation to enhance and expand the company's product portfolio. "We are very pleased to announce Arto Vainio joining SSH's management team. Mr. Vainio has long term experience and know-how in international sales and marketing of technological products", said CEO Tatu Ylonen. "His solid track record and ability to pinpoint and acquire strategic market opportunities, customers and partners in the international market place is a key factor to our success as SSH continues its global expansion", Ylonen continued. Mr. Vainio has over 20 years of experience in international sales and marketing from Nokia and Tellabs, a US telecommunications company. He joins SSH from Tellabs where he recently worked as Director of Marketing.

Vainio's career with Tellabs started in 1993 when he returned to Finland from Nokia's subsidiary in Malaysia after holding a position of Managing Director and Sales Director for Fixed Networks in the South East Asia area. Upon returning Mr. Vainio first took a position of Sales Director in a fast growing innovative Finnish technology company, Martis Oy that was soon acquired by Tellabs. Martis Oy became a subsidiary of Tellabs, and continued to develop and sell its flagship telecommunications product Martis DXX in the global markets. Mr. Vainio led the rapidly expanding global sales of Martis DXX product family within Tellabs global sales. The Martis DXX has achieved very successful market acceptance, with installations in over 80 countries.
