     A total of 10.000 SSH shares were subscribed under class A
     option certificates of the 1999 option program and a total
     of 2 437 SSH shares under class C option certificates of the
     1999 option program. The subscription period for shares
     under class A option certificates started on May 1, 2000 and
     under class C option certificates on May 1, 2001,
     respectively. The issue of the 1999 Stock Option Program was
     approved by the General Meeting of August 5, 1999.

     The corresponding increase in the share capital, in total
     EUR 373,11, was registered in the Finnish Trade Register on
     June 1, 2001. As a result of the increase, the share capital
     of the company is EUR 828.613,08 and the total number of
     shares is 27.620.436.

     The holders of the new shares are entitled to all
     shareholders rights from the registration date June 1,
     2001. The new shares will be listed on the main list of the
     Helsinki Exchanges together with the other shares as of June
     4, 2001.
