Spirent Communications chooses SSH IPSEC Express to benchmark IP-VPN performance solutions
TeraVPN allows network equipment manufacturers, Internet service providers and enterprise users to test and measure the performance issues related to adding IP-VPN technology to their networks. Specifically, the new TeraVPN determines tunnel capacity, measures network performance, and helps troubleshoots interoperability issues. By integrating the SSH IPSEC Express Toolkit into its solution, Spirent is using the highest performing IPSec solution available as it tests performance for thousands of tunnels that simulate thousands of clients across hundreds of ports.
"Todays companies must find cost-effective, secure ways to send confidential, internal information to and from multiple locations across the public Internet," said George Adams, president and CEO of SSH USA. "Spirent is leading the way with its TeraVPN product, and we are pleased that the SSH IPSEC Express Toolkit will help ensure that VPNs are performing at their peak security."
Both SSH and Spirent will demonstrate one anothers technologies at Networld+Interop 2001, May 6 11, in Las Vegas. Visit SSH at booth #1275 and Spirent at booth #7089.
About IPSec and SSH IPSEC Express Toolkit
IPSec is an IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) standard for protecting IP traffic using cryptography on the packet level. This Internet protocol is the predominant security technology used in VPNs. A driving force for IPSec, VPNs allow users to establish secure data communications between multiple networks or network devices using insecure public networks such as the Internet. SSHs IPSec solutions are one of the leading toolkits for IPSec implementations in secure local and global communications. The companys latest product, SSH IPSEC Express Toolkit 4.0, adds scalable, strong security to IP networks, with additional support for the VxWorks operating system, as well as for the industrys latest Internet and industry standards such as IPv6, enhanced PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), and the new Rijndael cryptography standard. With SSH IPSEC 4.0, enterprise customers are ensured a high level of security, with considerable savings in product development time and delivery.SSH Corp. Contact
