Webunited Chooses SSH Sentinel VPN Client for its VPN Firewall
SSH Communications Security (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading developer of Internet security technologies, today announced that WebUnited's new division, Secure Internet Solutions (SIS), has licensed SSH Sentinel 1.1 VPN (Virtual Private Network) Client for use with its ProtectPoint Firewall product for remote users. "WebUnited was looking for a flexible solution able to secure remote access through an existing IPSec gateway," said Andrew Snider, WebUnited security architect operations manager. "SSH Sentinel will provide our customers with the high access speed and strong encryption capabilities needed for a market-leading VPN Firewall product."
The WebUnited SIS division provides managed services for firewall security applications. The company's ProtectPoint Firewall is a key component of WebUnited SIS 24x7 managed security monitoring and response service. Installed between the customer's LAN (Local Area Network) and the network Internet connection, ProtectPoint provides superior firewall protection and intelligent network activity monitoring.
