Telenor Conax chose technology from SSH to secure broadcasting over the internet
SSH Communications Security (HEX: SSH), a developer of Internet security technologies announced today a new co-operation with Telenor Conax AS, a subsidiary of Norwegian Telecommunications Company Telenor AS. Telenor Conax has licensed SSH® IPSEC ExpressTM Toolkit to incorporate a high level of security into its Conax-SecureStream product. Conax-SecureStream is designed for securing IP multicast or broadcast streaming and can for example be used for Business-TV, corporate network and data broadcasting. Conax-SecureStream provides operators with the means to get paid for their multicast IP streams. SSH IPSEC Express Toolkit, which can be installed in any software or hardware, is used to secure access system for IP based networks and client/server connections.
Conax-SecureStream enables operators and content providers to encrypt the IP streamed content, distribute the encrypted IP streams via open networks and to selectively determine the receivers who shall be able to decrypt and consume the content. It can be used as a tool for selling entertainment and professional information content.
