SSH joins Trusted Computing Platform Alliance
Leading Encryption Company Supports Industry Efforts to Improve Computer Security
SSH Communications Security (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading developer of Internet security technologies, today announced that it has joined the TCPA (Trusted Computing Platform Alliance), an industry working group that is focused on improving trust and security of computing platforms. SSH will bring its encryption expertise to the TCPA, supporting the organization's goal to develop an industry standard specification that improves the authenticity, integrity and privacy of Internet-based communications and commerce."We are pleased to join the TCPA and support the group's efforts to ensure that all users have access to the highest levels of security - from work, home or any location with a network connection," said Tatu Ylönen, founder, chairman and CTO of SSH. Formed in October 1999 by industry leaders such as Compaq, Hewlett- Packard, IBM, Intel and Microsoft, the TCPA is an open alliance that brings together software and hardware technology vendors to develop a specification that delivers an enhanced hardware, system software and operating system based on a trusted computing platform that enhances customers' trusted domains.
