Furthering its position as a world-leading developer of Internet security technologies, SSH Communications Security (HEX:SSH1V) today announced that Jussi Kukkonen, senior security applications engineer, will host a presentation focusing on "Security and the Wireless Internet" at Internet World Wireless 2001 in New York City on Tuesday, Feb. 20. Kukkonen will discuss the security approaches and technologies necessary to ensure that data is protected as the Internet continues to expand into the wireless realm. An increasing number of people can access the Internet from a growing number of devices and locations. With this expanding mobility, security breaches become a heightened threat. Kukkonen's presentation, part of the Infrastructure Essentials track, will examine the wide range of technologies behind the wireless Net, and discuss both the inherent and avoidable security and reliability problems. From the current 2G standard to WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) tools, 3G, Wireless LANs (Local Area Networks) and Bluetooth, Kukkonen will offer a unique perspective on the practical application of the latest tools designed to protect networks as companies move beyond the wire.

Kukkonen studied at the Helsinki University of Technology and was a member of the original team that developed the code for SSH's IPSec Express Toolkit.
