Testing the Internet Protocol Security Standard for Interoperability
Espoo, Finland, January 3, 1999 - Security is a major weakness of the Internet Protocol, which has limited its use for business and other purposes involving confidential data. Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) is an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard for protecting IP traffic using cryptography on the packet level. IPsec adds security to IP without limiting its flexibility.
SSH Communications Security is continuously developing the IPsec standard. SSH IPSEC Express is a toolkit family for implementing IPsec into TCP/IP products. It has been tailor made for OEMs and system integrators who need strong, cryptographic security in their core products. SSH IPSEC Express saves considerable amount of time in product development and delivery.
SSH IPSEC Express has been designed to integrate easily into general-purpose and embedded operating systems. It can be located between the TCP/IP stack and the network adapter, or just above IP to allow the vendor to choose the most suitable alternative for the particular environment. Its interfaces with operating system services are clean and simple. It also comes with tools and interfaces to integrate it easily into the surrounding security infrastructure. SSH IPSEC Express toolkit comes with extensive product documentation, which makes the integration easy.
SSH IPSEC Express provides unrestricted, strong cryptographic security. The cryptographic expertise of SSH Communications Security ensures that the implementation is highly secure.
