Jean-Bernard Dumerc appointed as the CEO of SSH Communications Security KK. will establish and lead the new subsidiary to provide the Japanese customers with products and technical assistance and increase the market's awareness on SSH's security solutions and products
Today, the leading provider of Internet security products and solutions, SSH Communications Security Corporation, SSH, announced the establishment of its operations in Japan. The new subsidiary, SSH Communications Security KK. SSH KK., will better serve its local customers with products, technical support and other services. SSH also announced the appointment of Jean-Bernard Dumerc as the CEO of SSH KK.. Mr Dumerc will strengthen SSH's commitment in the Japanese market by first taking efforts to support the needs of the Japanese customers, increase awareness in the local market about SSH products and generate new leads."Japan is the second largest Internet market and the Japanese IT industry is certainly one of the most advanced in the world. Recent events though have proven that Japanese Internet networks are still vulnerable to intrusion and outside threats," said JB Dumerc. "SSH has build its success in helping major networking companies improve the security of their Internet devices and systems. Certainly, we will be able to cooperate with the manufacturers and the service providers in Japan to improve their Internet security solutions. SSH is one of the very few companies who can meet the technological and local support requirements of this demanding market."

Jean-Bernard Dumerc brings fifteen years of experience in the telecom industry. Prior to joining SSH, he lead Alcatel Japan for four years as the Country Senior Officer. Mr. Dumerc spent 12 years in Asia where he was involved in business development and sales of carrier-class telecom systems. He was particularly active in the field of new network technologies like satellites, SDH, ATM and IP, focusing on broadband multimedia access for public networks.

Mr. Dumerc has appointed Yasuhiro Okumura as sales manager who brings strong client server experience. Mr. Okumura will focus on direct sales efforts of SSH KK. SSH KK. has now five employees and is expected to grow to a minimum of ten by the end of the year.
