SSH Communications Security licenses IPSec toolkit to Intel
SSH Communications Security (SSH), a world-leading developer of Internet security technologies, today announced that Intel has licensed SSH® IPSEC ExpressTM Toolkit 4.0, with its IPSec (Internet Protocol Security), IKE (Internet Key Exchange), and X.509 Certificate tools for use in the recently announced Intel® IXP220 and IXP225 DSL Network Processors.

IPSec is an IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) standard for protecting IP traffic using cryptography on the packet level. This Internet protocol is the primary security technology used in VPNs (Virtual Private Networks). A driving force for IPSec, VPNs allow users to establish encrypted and authenticated data communications between multiple network devices or networks using insecure public networks such as the Internet.
