New Product Brings SSH2 Encryption and Authentication to Secure Data and File Transfers Over the Internet
SSH Communications Security (SSH), a world-leading developer of Internet security technologies, today announced SSH® Secure ShellTM for Windows Servers. The new product, based on SSH's Secure Shell version 2, provides secure terminal connections and file transfers for businesses using servers based on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 and 2000 platforms. This product expands the functionality of SSH's Secure Shell solution family, making it easy for Secure Shell clients to communicate with Windows servers.Secure Shell encrypts all passwords and data transmitted over the Internet, protecting Internet users and servers against the most common break-in method used by hackers - stealing passwords from the Internet. With over four million users in 80 countries, SSH Secure Shell is also available for Microsoft Windows 95, 98 and 2000 workstations and popular UNIX platforms including: Sun Solaris, RedHat and SuSe Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, HP/UX, Compaq Tru64, AIX and many others.

Product Features and Benefits
SSH Secure Shell for Windows Servers provides strong Secure Shell version 2 connectivity, encryption and authentication for servers running Windows NT 4.0 and 2000. The Secure Shell software package features strong industry standard encryption, including 3DES, Twofish, Blowfish, Arcfour and CAST128, and hash algorithms MD5 and SHA1. IT managers can easily configure Secure Shell through an intuitive Windows-based graphical interface or an UNIX-like configuration file. With secure terminal connections, users have access to information on network devices connected to Windows servers, as well as confidence that applications such as email have the highest level of encryption through TCP/IP port forwarding.This new product provides business customers with strong security through password and public key authentication using the industrys most common standards such as Diffie-Hellman and DSA (Digital Signature Algorithm). With integrated support for SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol), users can be assured that information remains secure, whether in the process of copying, moving or deleting files from their offices or remote locations.
Secure Shell for Windows Servers also includes several other advanced features designed to increase ease-of-use and functionality for businesses:
