(SSH), the leading provider of Internet security solutions and products, announced today a licensing agreement for Public Key Infrastructure, (PKI) IP security and authentication systems. Biodata implements SSH solutions in its portfolio of security products including BabylonMETA, the only modular encryption box worldwide, and SPHINX, the revolutionary personal firewall. To achieve secure and flexible Business to Business communications, Biodata's policy has always been to support existing open standards.

IPsec is an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard for protecting IP traffic using cryptography on the packet level. Leading companies worldwide are utilizing SSH's IPsec technology to gain the competitive edge provided by secure communications. The Internet Key Exchange Protocol, (IKE) is a tool for negotiating the terms of the communication before the actual encrypted session can begin. These communication security parameters include, for example, which encryption algorithms to use, the lifetime of the encryption, and most importantly, the encryption keys themselves. SSH Certificate Tools are based on the X.509 authentication protocol, which has been designed to provide access to all standard Public Key Infrastructures.
