SSH Communications Security to Deliver Internet Security Products to the French Market
SSH Receives the Authorization for Importing and Delivering Strong Cryptographic Products to the French Market
SSH Communications Security (SSH) the leading developer of high end technologies based on Internet Protocol Security IPsec and Public Key Infrastructure PKI announced today that it has acquired the authorization to import its strong cryptographic products and solutions to the French market. "IT and telecommunications industry in France is very advanced and dynamic. We see a growing demand for efficient and easy to use security products by Internet infrastructure providers and system operators in that market. Individual users as well tend to be more aware of safety and privacy matters over the Internet," said Markku Kangas, president and CEO of SSH.SSH develops its core technology in Finland, a leader in internetworking and mobile communications with one of the world's highest Internet usage rates. Leveraging local encryption regulations, SSH's Finnish development teams employ leading-edge technology to deliver the most robust solutions on the global market. SSH's underlying development and product philosophy is to make the Internet safe for e-business.
SSH began marketing SSH IPSEC ExpressTM worldwide in 1998. Throughout its existence, SSH has provided leading technology solutions for secure IP networks and propelled forward the standardization of protocols such as Secure Shell and Internet Protocol Security IPsec. IPsec is an Internet Engineering Task Force IETF standard for protecting IP traffic using cryptography on the packet level. It is the predominant security technology used in VPNs today and SSH IPSEC Express is the world's leading toolkit for IPsec. The benefits for using a ready-made toolkit for implementing IPsec are manifold, including radical reductions in development time, guarantees of critical interoperability, reduced effort and cost of maintaining software, and flexibility to add a rich variety of security and management features in the future.
"SSH is committed to provide uncompromised security to all our customers because we believe that is the only viable way of making the Internet secure" said Laurent Chollat, sales manager for France at SSH. SSH received the authorization to deliver its Internet security products from the French Central Service of Information System Security near the Prime minister of the Republic of France. According to the agreement, SSH has the right to import and deliver in France its Toolkit range of products including SSH IPSEC ExpressTM Toolkit, SSH ApplianceTM Toolkit, SSH IKETM Toolkit, SSH Certificate ToolsTM as well as SSH Secure ShellTM. Other products, SSH CertifierTM and SSH SentinelTM are still under the authorization procedure.
