IPmobile to Integrate SSH IPSec Technology into Wireless Products

SSH Communications Security (SSH), the world-leading developer of Internet security technologies and developer of the Secure Shell standard, and IPmobile, a leading wireless communications infrastructure company, today announced that IPmobile will integrate SSH's scalable Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) technology into its AirscapeTM Product Portfolio to deliver a secure, wireless Internet solution.

This decision comes just weeks after SSH announced a research and development initiative aimed at building solutions for secure mobile and wireless Internet communications based on its industry-leading IPSec technology. IPSec is an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard for protecting IP traffic using cryptography on the packet level. This Internet protocol is the predominant security technology used in Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). SSH's IPSec technology adds scaleable, strong security to IP networks, without limiting its flexibility to enable new types of business opportunities, such as secure local and global communications between companies, e-commerce and e-banking.
