Effnet, Provider of Industry's Fastest Routers and Firewalls, Teams up with SSH Communications Security for IPSec Technology
SSH Communications Security and Effnet Group AB today announced a major licensing agreement for SSH's IPSEC Express. The software will be incorporated in Effnet's router and firewall product line. As outcome of this cooperation, Effnet will provide its customers with the industry's fastest and most secure firewall and IP (Internet Protocol) routing solutions with standards-based IPSec functionality.
Effnet technology has been designed to break the speed barriers associated with routing and firewall activity. This, combined with SSH's IPSEC technology, one of the industry's most reliable IPSec implementations designed for securing next generation IP, brings out an ideal solution for large companies and organizations requiring high reliability and top performance.

Effnet now has 45 employees and is expanding rapidly. Research and development is based in Luleå. In 1998, the company opened sales and marketing offices in Boston, Massachusetts and an additional office in Stockholm, Sweden. The company's technology has been field tested and proven via a line of firewall products initially marketed exclusively in Sweden. Server-based, PCI add-on products based on Effnet's algorithm will become available in the United States in Q3 of 1999.
