SSH Communications Security Licenses SSH IPSEC Technology to Lucent Technologies
SSH Communications Security (SSH), a leading provider of network security software products announces that Lucent Technologies has licensed SSH IPSEC technology for use in its PortMaster® remote access products.
"The technology licensed from SSH will enhance IPSec implementation in Lucent access routers" says Cary Hayward, VPN product manager for Lucent Technologies Remote Access Business Unit. "This technology can be used by service providers and corporations who want to provide secure intranet and extranet connectivity as well as secure remote access outsourcing."

Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) is the predominant technology in VPNs and will form the core of all these products. It is the international standard for interconnected, secure networking devices. It has been developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and has wide industry support.
