SSH and Nanoteq to Cooperate in Internet Security Solutions
Nanoteq, a division of Comparex, an international supplier of Information and Communications Technology solutions, and SSH Communications Security announced today their cooperation for providing secure Internet communications. SSH's widely used Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) technology is integrated with Nanoteq's IP-Granite product family.
The IP-Granite product range implements comprehensive network security solutions for VPNs as well as remote access and end-to-end applications, using SSH's IPsec technology. IP-Granite provides an easy to use, cost -effective and versatile solution for IPsec-based network security.
"SSH's IPSEC Express is the most complete IPsec solution available on the market. It supports the latest in technology development and has proven to work extremely well with the solutions of various vendors", Luc de Graeve, CEO of Nanoteq said.
The IP-Granite product family provides secure connections to field staff and remote workers who use the Internet as a virtual private access facility. Its enhanced features and functionality allow companies to set up intra-office VPNs, using shared backbones or the Internet. In addition, it sets up network connections to business partners by building secure extranets - allowing partners to access specific services.
"Integrating Nanoteq's IP-Granite with SSH's IPsec technology will enhance the security of VPNs significantly. Companies can now safely use the Internet for accessing their intra-office VPNs or extranets", Tatu Ylönen, President and CEO of SSH Communications Security said.
The first two products, the IP-Granite W100 and G100 software packages, underwent an international Beta test program during August, with positive feedback received. Other hardware and software products are also in the pipeline, some of which will be released later this year.
